DV4141-100 Nike Air Force 1 Anniversary Edition Los Angeles

While it may have changed its name, the Nike Kyrie Infinity (previously the Kyrie 8) can’t escape the circumstances of its debut, upon which Kyrie Irving himself expressed his disdain for the design. But in spite of the athlete’s opinion, the shoe continues Brooks Sneakers to make additional appearances and will soon do so in a “Black/Red” colorway. Despite what its palette may suggest, the pair is not quite an ode to Jordan Brand’s best. Black takes majority stake, dyeing everything from the mesh toe box to the tumbled leather side panel. The Swoosh as well as part of the midsole are then highlighted in a bright red, matching not just the tongue’s own logo hits but also the snakeskin that accents both the eye stays and heel counter.

As NIKE, Inc. continues to go through its Jordan release dates 2022,Sneakerheads2020 the North American conglomerate has expanded several legacies via new, refreshing styles of decades-old designs. Among them, the Air Jordan 1 Mid, which has recently emerged in a new “White,” “Black” and “Court Purple” colorway. Akin to some of the Jordan 1‘s most beloved releases of the last 37 years, base layers on the upcoming sneakers indulge in a “colorless” smooth leather that allows for overlays and accompanying accents to revel in the spotlight. Panels around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel deviate in stark “Black” contrast, though purple interrupts the arrangement via the profile swooshes and collar underlays. Branding on the tongue label and lateral ankle flap also indulge in “Court Purple” flair, as does the mid-top silhouette’s tread underfoot.

Though yet to announce the New Air Force 1 40th Birthday officially, it’s obvious the brand has big, big plans for the silhouette. The overwhelming number of reveals are enough to suggest as much, as many of these releases feature beloved collaborative partners, unique inspirations, and even the overt mention of an anniversary. The latter is true of the shoe’s upcoming “Los Angeles” colorway, whose tongue touts “Anniversary Edition” in elegant, ornate cursive. Highlighted in a bright yellow, too, the text clearly expresses the Swoosh’s intention, all the while providing additional meaning to what is effectively a love letter to the City of Angels. If not for the “Los Angeles” text along the insole, the pair’s influences would be difficult to pinpoint. This is due to the busy, texture-heavy upper, whose neutral-colored materials alternate between thick canvas, woven knits, quilting, and the like. Elements reminiscent of handmade products are also present across the upper, from the thick stitching along the edge of every panel to the floral embroideries spotlighted in orange.
