It was not the ideal way to start the week. On Monday morning, we discovered a leak in the bath. The water was spilling through the ceiling into my rack, the server cabinet that houses the boiler, the fusebox, and the boiler. The router was dead and bubbling however we didn't short the electrics. It could have been much worse. The culprit was the showerhead that was in its holster, but left on at its lowest setting in order to pour water down the bath into the room below.

I had a 9am appointment with the dentist , so the added stress was not a good idea. I was a little stressed in the bright light thinking of my home that was sloppy but thankfully everything was well with my teeth.

I was concerned that the bath was still leaky. I removed the side panel using the aid of a Stanley knife. This was a waste of time as the bath was covered in tiles and its underside was blocked off. Great.

My dad was there to seal the bath and assure us that everything will be fine. We'll have to dry the cabinet and paint the ceiling or wall.

In preparation for their Jubilee celebration, the boys have been learning about the Queen in school. The school decorated the playground with red, white and blue bunting and the entire school gathered for the Jubilee tea party. They can all tell me how old she's and what other royal details they've learned.

- We succumbed and bought a Nintendo Switch. H had been desperate for one for quite a time but it never came at the right moment. He was too young. They were out of stock. The price was often increased and the price was often increased. But with a John Lewis offer we purchased the latest OLED version, with additional Joy-Cons, and three games: Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World (with Bowser's Fury). It's well-designed and the games as amazing as I'd expect from Nintendo.

- We made it clear that this was the family Switch to ensure that his younger brother and father (and dad!) could play. can play and he wouldn't claim it as his own. blastermusic He was beaming with excitement when we showed him the box. It was exciting to see it in action, but nothing can compare to the happiness it brought to his life.
