Air Max 270, Privy to some of the most left-field collaborations under the Nike, Inc. umbrella, the Swoosh’s skateboard division has joined forces with wide-ranging partners, from Ben Jerry’s to The Grateful Dead. Even its in-line releases look for inspiration in all places, like the recently-released “Camcorder” effort that honored the VX1000 — a skater’s best friend. Now Nike SB looks to another classic documenting instrument, with the surfacing of this Polaroid x Nike SB Dunk Low that is expected to release in the new year.The 85-year-old film company is as iconic as the Dunk itself in its own right.
Now it’s found its way to the Nike SB Dunk Low, with the multi-color finish finding its way to a trio of Swoosh overlays that, with the help of a semi-translucent yellow Swoosh, create a colorful rainbow finish. Said Swooshes also act as a separator between an all-white heel and sole unit, and a murdered-out collar/forefoot on black mesh and oiled leather. The 5-color rainbow features again at special embroidery across the vamp, as well as a complete take-over of the insoles. The latter features a co-branded finish, and the pair is fitted with Polaroid-branded aglets and reflective heel overlays to complete the design.
This Nike Air Max 270 Grey Black White silhouette presents the same functional features its fans expect, such as a comfortable oversized heel Air unit and a breathable mesh upper.This neutral color scheme keeps it simple with a taupe grey mesh upper, a black heel panel, a white forefoot sole unit and a translucent black Air Max 270 heel. The usual Air Max 270 embossed detailing is seen throughout upper, while mini Swooshes in black add a touch of contrast.
